Usb loader gx wont launch any games

Loader GX working fine until....

Hi, I'm stumped (just mentally).
I soft modded my wii about two years ago. No real problems, a few games don't work (black screens and freezing) but overall I've been very satisfied.
Now, all of a sudden GX loader isn't showing the games when I copy them to the HDD. (the old ones are still there)
I tried backing up Wii sports Resort (original disc). It said it had installed ok but nothing was on the loader (no cover etc).
This has also happened with the other few games I've tried to put on through WBFS Manager (which I've always used).
The only thing I can possibly put this down to is a change in the drives letter (I know this seems a weak solution but I have no other idea)
Any ideas
Thanks

Extract Iso image from wad file

Ok so I have a few games that are wad files and I know you can extract the iso image from the files using wbfs manager, however I cannot get the wad files to load on a formatted wbfs hdd. and if I format it to fat32 I can put the wad files on but obviously then the wbfs manager does not recognize the device. Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated

USB Loader GX and a Kingston Datatraveler 200 64GB issue

Hi guys, this is my first post so i'll apologize beforehand for any mistakes,

first of all i have browsed the forum for a answer but with no luck, i have softmodded my Wii with Mauifrogs guide, and downloaded the app pack with Usb loader GX, Wiiflow ect. and all is good (top marks for making a idiot walkthrough to, that REALLY helped.)
Anyway the issue i'm having is that i have a Kingston Datatraveler 200 64GB data stick (which the compatibility guide said was ok) formatted to FAT32 with a WBFS folder for games.... I started to add games which was great, but when ever i get to 4 games all is well, however the 5,6,7,8 ect transfer but immediately disappear when i remove the datastick? the folder remains but the .WBFS file vanishes. i safely remove the drive, oh and i'm using Wii game manager to transfere files to my Datastick.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any reasons why WiiMC would be able to recognize my HDDs and not any USB loaders?

Hey everyone, I have had a posting in the system check thread for a few days and been given a lot of helpful suggestions, but unfortunately nothing has worked thus far. I soft modded my first gen wii about 2 weeks ago using the wiihacks guide. Everything has worked great except I can't get any of the installed USB loaders (Loader GX, CFG Loader, Wiiflow) to recognize any of my FAT 32 hard drives (formatted using the guide and EaseUs). One that I tried is a 160 GB WD Passport Essential which is listed on the compatibility list. Anyway at this point I'm not sure there is anything else I can try and it is most likely just a HD compatibility issue. However WiiMC recognizes all of my drives no problem. Just wondering if there would be any reason for them to be compatible with WiiMC and not the loaders? I am very new to this so for all I know the respective apps have completely different ways they access the drives. Just thought I would run it by you guys and see what you thought before I go out and buy another HDD. Thanks for looking

USB Loader GX Problem

Hi folks, looking for a bit of advice here. I soft modded my 4.3E Wii using the excellent guide on this site.

I installed the apps pack (Wiiflow, USB Loader GX and USB CFG) on my SD card. USB CFG works fine but I can't seem to get USB Loader GX working.

When I load it up, it freezes at "Initializing USB Device" and I end up having to power down the Wii.

Any ideas? I'm using an 8GB Maxell thumb drive if that's any help? Worst comes to the worst I'll keep using USB CFG but it would be nice to get it working. Cheers.

Wiiflow game loading issues

I have a number of games which refuse to load in Wiiflow, which neither show the animated title cards nor load (they kick back to the system menu) Games doing this include Dead Space: Extraction, NSMB Wii, Red Steel 2, and a good number of other ones. Also, The Last Story is showing the animated title card, but is showing the same behavior on attempts to load it. I have a launch-day Wii softmodded using the Softmod ANY Wii guide on this forum (I did it like a week or two ago so everything should be up-to-date). It has been returned from system menu 4.3U to 4.1U as shown in the guide and I did the update ios portion as well. My first assumption would be that the disk images are bad (they are all NTSC-U) but due to the number of games doing this I'm wondering if it could be something else. Thanks

VC/WiiWare and EmuNAND

I could have sworn I saw a thread here that listed which VC/WiiWare games worked well off emunand but now I can't find it :( :(

Would someone please link me in that direction? Or am I mistaken and no such thread exists?

See, I have a couple of Wiiware games and a few vC games, which i installed to emunand using uLoader. (I simply put the wads in nand/install and it did the rest) but now I'm noticing that none of them actually work. i already expected castlevania not to work because i remember reading somewhere here that ot wouldn't, but other games like Three Musketeers and Lostwinds, even Megaman, aren't working in any of the loaders.

Perhaps there is a special loader for exclusively loading nand channels that may force them to work? a friend suggested that question, but my concern is that maybe all my games are specifically the ones that wont work. So I'd love to see a list of "troublesome vc/wiiware titles" if possible?

Thanks!

PS: Anyone know why setting "nand emulation" to "full" causes WiiParty to run in 4:3 mode?

ios33 installed, but sysCheck says "not patched" and games dont work

Hi all,
I have a problem I didnt find a solution for in the forum. I installed ios33, it went fine and the games which needed it worked. Then I turned the Wii off, and the next time I turned it on, the games went back to freeze when they load. I tried installing ios33 a couple of times again, but no change - as if it doesnt install it (even wad-manager 1.7 says "OK" after the install).

Below is the sysCheck.csv content.

Here is the story behind it for context : My system (4.3u) was softmodded and all fine until my son updated it from the Toy Story 3 disc. After he did, I received the "ios249 is a stab" error when loading USB loader and started messing with it.

What I did is to upgrade to d2x as was referred to in one of the manual and upgraded to USB Loader V 7. This went well and i got USB Loader to run again, using ios248 and loading most of my games. However the games requiring ios33 didnt load.

I then tried to install ios33 with my wad-manager 1.7 however it got stuck just after the ios249 selection screen. I read that I should use ios236 instead, which actually worked (it seems) and I was able to use the IOS33-64-v3091.wad file i downloaded. It gave me the "OK", i managed to load a couple of the games, but after I restarted the Wii it went back to freezing.
The interesting thing is, that the sysCheck log shows ios33 as "not patched" - i expected it to be patched because I installed the ios33 WAD ?? Can it be that I was able to install it once, used it but somewhat its not actually installed now ? Strange.

Thanks for your help !

Modded Wii Problem - Please Help!

A few years ago I modded my sisters Wii system for her using the HackMii/Bootmii method. Recently, Her EX boyfriend didn't listen to me when I told him he had to load all the games from the neogamma channel. I don't know what he did, but the Wii system doesn't seem to be modded anymore. When you go into Neogamma, it says it's running IOS36. I tried to re-mod the system for her, but Bootmii keeps telling me there's no vulnerable IOS....any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to get this fixed for her before she comes back from over seas and the normal methods don't seem to be working. Her system is LU57591668[3]. The Wii system says it's still on 4.2U. Thanks in advance, even if someone can just point me in the right direction for getting it modded again! :)

Hi, so I have recently modded my Wii and started play some of my backups on it. It was working great until one day it just stopped. Now every loader I use freezes when detecting the USB. (Wiiflow, USB Loader GX, CFG USB Loader). This is seriously bumming me out and want to know if any of the geniuses here know how to fix it. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: CFG USB Loader gets error instead of freezing

Can't load a game or install a game with USB Loaders (all of them)

I've followed a guide to softmod any wii here on this forum and I'm having some trouble with the USB Loaders, I can't even get a game to load on it and I can't install a game.

What happens when installing a game it hangs up while installing and does nothing.

I've used the app Clean rip to get an ISO of my game Super Mario Galaxy and I used Wii Backup Manager to get the game on a flash drive which is a 16GB Sandisk Cruzer, the loaders sees the game as being there but when I load it the screen goes black and the wii mote de syncs I'm confused here a lot and I'm starting to get fustrated on what it is and trying to figure it out.

Anyways here is a System report

Hopefully someone can please help me... I've been trying this for the ass three days and no luck.

ALL of my USB loaders return me to the Wii menu. Help Pleasse!

All of my usb loaders, including neogama, CFG USB, USB GX, and Wii Flow all return me to the wii home screen. When I click on them I usually see a breif splash screen and bam, back to the home screen.

I softmodded my wii using the "softmod any wii" tutorial.

A few notes: *The homebrew channel is the only channel that works and it detects my USB and SD Card perfectly fine.

Also can this problem be because I am using an SDHC? I've been using the same SDHC from since the beginning (to install the homebrew channel) and I've also used it to install other apps such as Homebrew Browser and SysCheck, so i figured I could rule out that the problem was my SD card.

And yes I've tried different .iso's/wbfs's and I've also tried different USB drives. I still get the same problem. I even tried a different computer.

Here is my system check:

Just bought a Wii after 5 years out. I'm trying to make it work, but nothing is!

I have sold my wii about 5 years ago. At the time, I had a very good understanding of the scene and loaders in general. As soon as I got my used/US wii, I went to see what was new.

I decided I wanted to use a Loader that would support NTFS or FAT32 at least, since I remember WBFS partition was a a little bit painful.

So I installed the cIOS from hermes and d2x, and I have been trying to make either uLoader or Wiiflow work, without look.

Basically, both get stuck after trying to start the game. Black screen. I have tried on WBFS, FAT32 and NTFS partitions.

The only thing that it might be non standard is a wii2hdmi dongle, that works perfect with my original, like mario brothers, and wii play.

I believe that if the hard drive is "seen" and the loader sees the games, there should be no problem with it, but just in case, I have a Toshiba 1TB USB Canvio 3.0 Plus Portable Hard Drive.

But before checking hardware, I wanted somebody to please verify my system check, here:

Not able to copy disc 2 for MGS and Killer 7

Hello everyone.

I softmodded my Wii some time ago and got it working just fine. I was able to backup all my Wii games and load them using USB Cfg Loader v70r51.

Recently, I installed Dios Mios v10 and every single disc game works great but, when I tried to copy disc 2 for Killer 7 and MGS I just receive a not too descriptive error message and the operation gets aborted. I tried renaming the disc 1 file already in my HDD to avoid conflicts but that didn't work. I'm sure my discs are fine as I played from them several times. Also, my discs are in pretty good shape so no damage there. Finally, the disc 1 of both games works fine and I can load the games without a problem. I haven't tried to see what happens when reaching disc 2 from my HDD but I prefer to fix this before.

Any tip or advice? I really have no clue and all guides or posts I've found appear unrelated to this specific problem.

Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to organize the categories list in USB Loader GX?

So rather than assigning a category tag manually to each game, I used the "Import Categories" option from the "Features" section under "Settings" which worked very well and saved me a lot of time. But the categories list is displayed in what seems to be a random order. I would like the categories to be displayed in alphabetical order to make them easier to find. I can't seem to find a way to do this inside USB Loader GX. I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas as to how I may be able to do this. Thank you.
