Wii with USB Loader GX does not work with 3TB HD

Hello All,
I have wii that runs USB Loader GX (Sorry not sure of the version) and loads games from a 500GB HD that is formatted in WBFS. When I connect a 3TB Drive formatted in FAT32, the wii crashes with a system dump error. How can I get the 3TB FAT32 Drive to work on this wii? Is there a setting in USB Loader settings that can be changed to recognize this drive? If not, can you please advise on the easiest way to get this working?

I think I need to re-softmed my son's Wii.

Hello, It has been a few years since I have done anything with the Wii. I originally installed a Wode because my 2 daughters were really in to the Wii. I did a full soft-mod using the indianapwnz method so I could play a few Japanese imports. It was so worth it :) Anyway, the Wii has collected dust for about 2 years because my girls are older and lost interest. My son is a little older and plays it it now and that is when I came in to our 1st issue since modding it years ago. I got him Disney infinity and he can't play it at all. The message we get on screen says "Error 001, unauthorized device have been detected." I still have my nand back-up/keys from years ago and bootmii as boot 2, so I'm willing to try anything. So sorry if this is noobish. Like I said it has been a long time and I feel awful having gotten my son a game he really wanted and not being able to play it. Not to mention that the game and all the accessories were more expensive then I anticipated :P

Neogamma query

Happy Yuletide Everyone!!

As you can see I have not been about for a long time. Reason Being my Soft Modded White Wii, has been entertaining fine until my nephew decide to plug in his new Wii Mote & sent my system into slight hysteria.

Now every time I try to use a down loaded game my Remotes go into a spasm, where one is trying to sync up & the other is No.2 Therefore I cannot start any games under the Neogamma Channel. :dft006:

First question; How do I fix this problem.

Second; Is this what this sticky meant, by not using TR remote (Not sure what TR means either??);

Neogamma - This is a forwarder to Neogamma R9 Beta 56. It is primarily used to load backups from disc, however it also supports loading from SD/USB. Source HERE, WiiHacks Guide HERE.
Note Regarding Neogamma: This app is NOT compatible with the newer TR Remotes. If your Wii can play backups from disc AND you have a TR motion plus remote, we suggest the following: Prior to launching Neogamma have your TR remote as player 1 and activate a non-TR remote as player 2. In this way you can navigate the Neogamma menu with the player 2 remote. After launching a game you can use your player 1 remote without issue.

Just Dance 2014, Just Dance 4, not loading in NeoGamma R9 beta 56

Hi all,

I'm trying to load these games from DVD and I simply get a disc read error in NeoGamma.

Relevant info:
  • Burned on Verbatim DVD-R at 4x using ImgBurn w/ verify (I burn all my games to these and these two are the only ones which have given me any problems, seems unlikely that it was the burning process)
    Neogamma R9 beta 56, d2x v10
    Disc read error in Neogamma - 05053100
    Running 4.3 U
    Have all latest IOS's installed using PimpMyWii 3.02


I can't seem to troubleshoot what the problem is. I've read that you should force IOS 250 for these games (since they need a mic or something), but I thought this version of Neogamma will grab whatever IOS is necessary. I tried forcing it anyway using Mod Manager but ran into the same problem.

I sincerely appreciate any advice you have for me to help troubleshoot the problem. I have a lot more useless blank DVDs around than I do free HDD space at the moment so I'd strongly prefer to load it from a DVD.

I have a wii you install the ios device and keep it off when a black screen I do not have a backup for nand please, they gave me a solution and whether I can download nand and two European 4.3E

Usb loader gx

I have a black Wii with 4.3u. I went through the tutorials from a dude called hightech man on youtube. everything seemed fine i have homebrew and usb loader gx on my wii menu. I bought an external harddrive that i know is working on wii for backup games. I used wbfs manager formatted my WD (my passport drive) with wbfs loaded some games on to the Hd from iso. Plugged the Hd to wii start the usb gx loader screen goes black than restarts to the wii menu screen.

Any suggestions.

Okay… I am trying to get MOH – H2 to load on my Wii, & it keeps locking up & crashing. I am wondering what I can do to fix it. I haven’t done the dol method yet, but that is the next step. I downloaded the iso of the game last night with the idea in mind that the disk that I have is bad, & therefore have a bad disk image. But I have a good copy evidently because the iso has the same problem. I thought that could be an issue because I did have a disk that was bad that I had bought along with it. So that isn’t a problem.I have done reading on the site here seeing if I could find the solution before leaving a post. I haven’t been able to find it. Unless I am not setting the configuration correctly, what I have seen posted hasn’t worked. I am running the very newest version of GX Loader, & I would like to know what the heck I am doing wrong. 1 thing that I have noticed is that the settings in the newest version has different options than what people have been posting. With the fact that I really don’t know what I am looking at, that doesn’t help. Could someone help by posting a current configuration so that I have something to compare it to? Thanks guys!

Looking for a 500GB harddrive that will work with my my Wii's USB ports

Hope I am posting this in the right place.

So, I recently performed several updates to the homebrew and hacks on my outdated Wii. And I want to upgrade my harddrive setup for it as well.

Currently, I have a 250GB USB 2.0 drive formatted in a 1GB FAT32 partition to store my loader and some of my homebrew, and the rest as a WBFS partition for my Wii disk images. Back when I set this up, pretty much the only options were FAT32 (which I did not want to do due to it's 4GB filesize limit) or WBFS. Nowadays though just about every loader appears to support NTFS just fine. So I am planning to replace it with a 500GB drive, keep the small FAT32 partition for homebrew, and make the rest NTFS for my Wii disk images. I also plan to reformat the old 250GB harddrive to FAT32 for GC loading through Nintendon't.

I have two issues about this though:

1. Are there any 500GB USB drives out there which can get enough power from a single USB 2.0 port? Almost all the drives are USB 3.0 nowadays, which I know can carry more power than USB 2.0 did. How can I be sure I can find a 500GB USB drive (preferably 2.5 inches or smaller) that the Wii will be able to power on it's own from a single port? (I don't want to have to take up multiple USB ports with a Y-cable) Do you have any recommendations for a drive to use?

2. I used WBFS manager to extract the images I had backed up to my WBFS partition into .wbfs files. Would I just be able to toss these onto the NTFS partition and they would work, or would I need to use some other kind of disk format? I don't want to use .iso since this would balloon the size of many of the games due to the garbage data. I use USBLoaderGX to load my Wii titles.

Wii Cannot Find HD

Hello,im on 4.3 pal wii,i first used the modmii hack and everything installed fine but none of the loaders recognised my HDD which iv tried 4 different ones plus a flash drive.I then tried mauifrog tutorial and same again everything installed but no luck with finding the HDD.On wiimc it sees the HDD straight away.Any help would be most appreciated

Usb Loader GX Freezes Loading USB

Have been playing a few games lately from a 16Gb USB stick and everything was fine until I loaded a new game to the stick and the freezing started. I have reformatted the stick and even reinstalled the soft mod in case it was out of date. Why would it stop loading the stick all of a sudden? I do not have an extra one to try but the stick works fine on a pc.

USB loader GX can't load channels through priiloader, possible IOS problem

Hello all, I have a spontaneous problem that just started without warning.

My current setup is a 4.2 wii using priiloader to automatically hope into USB loader gx via forwarder DOL. usb loader gx was able to play games off a usb drive as well as channels installed on the wii (both custom wads and official channels like the youtube channel). All was working fine. Now, suddendly, without any modification having occured (except i have done a NAND back up, no restore), the channels do not work. When I load usb loader through priiloader and then launch a channel, there is a black screen, then it goes to usb loader gx (priiloader is set to redirect system menu requests back to usb loader gx). all channels (not iso games) are affected by this.

The channels however, work fine if I go to the actual system menu and load them from there. Even wierder, if I were to load USB loader gx from the system menu (fowarder channel) or go to the homebrew channel to load usb loader gx, and from those instances of usb loader gx load a channel, it also works fine. I suspect priiloader is forcing an ios version thats causing issues? I am not sure.
Any ideas?
